Peach Moscato [Refreshing, Fizzy and Just in Time for Summer!]

Peach Moscato
Peach Moscato: Recipe

X has been playing around with several cocktail recipes recently and when he brought back a peach from work last week, he decided to make some Peach Moscato to use up the peach and peach juice we have lying in the refrigerator.

Which is all fine by me because the summer heat is beginning to encroach upon us, so I will definitely say a huge resounding yes to any refreshing and fizzy drink!

Peach Moscato
Can you spot the fizz?

Ridiculously easy, this Peach Moscato requires only 4 ingredients to make – peach juice, lemonade, white sparkling moscato (extra fizziness!) and fresh peaches. Moscato is a sweet Italian wine – made with Muscat grape – with sweet fruity notes and a hint of fizz. The most commonly available are the white ones, but it’s also possible to get pink and red moscato as well. Pink moscato usually has a touch of merlot in them while red moscato is made with black and orange Muscat grapes. For this recipe, it’s best to use white moscato so the colour of the drink stays orange-y.

To spike the drink even more, you can add in 1/2 cup of vodka or tequila – this will turn it into a Peach Moscato Cocktail. Do you know that a cocktail has to consist of a spirit or spirits mixed with other ingredients like juice or sugar? (I’m learning something new every day!)

As fresh peaches are expensive in Singapore, it’s definitely possible to use canned peaches. But because canned peaches are a tad too sweet for me, I probably will just omit them if I can’t get fresh ones. The Peach Moscato will still taste plenty peachy with the peach juice.

Roasted Barley Tea – no alcohol or caffeine, so it’s perfect for kids Minty Ice Lemon Tea – another refreshing treat for the hot summer

And here’s the recipe – make it now and enjoy the fizz! 😉
